Join the team at Stories by the Sea for an evening with local author, Christine Balint, for the release of her latest book A Single Witness. Christine will be interviewed by fellow local (true crime) author Vikki Petraitis.
Christine Balint is an award-winning Australian novelist and academic whose work has been published and praised in Australia, the US and Europe. Her debut novel The Salt Letters was shortlisted for the Australian/Vogel Literary Award, and her later novella Water Music won the 2021 Viva la Novella Prize. Christine weaves rich historical research with compelling, human stories. Her new novel, A Single Witness, is inspired by a remarkable 18th-century Venetian court case and brings a forgotten voice to life. Christine teaches creative writing at La Trobe University and lives on the Mornington Peninsula on Bunurong Land and we feel so blessed to have her as part of our beautiful community.
